Sugar Cane is a Japanese clothing brand who honors the history of workwear by reconstructing and reproducing iconic workwear pieces down to the smallest detail with pure Japanese quality and finesse.

Today Sugar Cane is a renowned denim brand with a unique market position as one of the best denim manufacturers in Japan.

An original 13.7oz. indigo neppy denim featuring a warp yarn of ropedyed indigo and a weft yarn of grey with colored nep. The jacket is based on a 1930s headlight work coat, replete with meticulously crafted details like pre-war changeable buttons, a 3-in-1 pocket on the left chest, and adjustable cuffs, encapsulating the golden era specifications.

By reviewing and examining the documents of the time, Sugar Cane has revived a full range of functional details that are typical of the vintage work wear. It then combined the individual authentic details and uniquely applied them into their own items under the name of “Fiction Romance.”
